Please note: OCIO settings are not synchronized during a sync review, as the settings are display-dependent. However, each participant in a sync session could load the OCIO file independently.

All files added will have an sRGB Input apart from EXR files which will have linear Input. To quickly change an Input/Output for a file, simply select the required selection from the dropdown menus.

This will only be applied to the active file, which is not synchronized.

Other OCIO profiles can be loaded via the ‘Colour Grading’ window.

You can open the ‘Colour Grading’ window from the ‘Tools’ menu.

To load an OCIO profile, click ‘Select’ and navigate to the required profile.

All the elements will be greyed out for the OCIO file until the file is added.

Once you have selected the OCIO profile, it will define all the parameters. You can either select the Input / Output from the OCIO settings in the ‘Colour Grading’ window or again use the quick access drop-downs via the View menu, which are updated to list the selected OCIO options.

The profile is applied across all the files in the playlist.

Once the ‘Clear’ button has been clicked, the OCIO profile will be removed, and the drop-down menus via the Tools menu will re-list the color transforms that come with cineSync.

And If you would like to ‘Reset to Env’ (environment variables), there is also a button for that.

LUTs

cineSync now also enables to load individual LUTs, in addition, or separately to OCIO profiles and create colour profile presets that will be saved and preference

The LUT sections are located in the ‘Colour Grading’ menu together with the OCIO section.

It will also allow you to upload to the preser an OCIO Configuration file.

This file communicates to cineSync to load a profile relative to the video file path, enabling to have per shot different colour profiles and this can be defined as part of the pipeline.

Tips
  • The LUT’s menu enables you to import a .JSON file that contains the color profiles suitable for you media. And the file paths can be set to either absolute or relative, catering to the needs of both individual shots and whole sequences.
  • You can acces to your color presents also from the ‘Tools’ > ‘Colour Presets’ menu.

The secondary LUT menu enables you to select or clear the LUT path and choose if it should be before or after OCIO
